Farinex®
Farinex® gives noodle manufacturers a unique advantage in stability, texture and processing performance. Added to long-life and frozen noodle formulations, it maintains the original freshness and product quality through prolonged storage.
Instant noodles
Avebe’s starches give instant noodles the elastic texture, smooth mouthfeel and neutral taste that consumers expect. As a bonus, we add short cooking times and an attractive appearance to the mix. Our ingredients allow you to deliver a genuinely good noodle that is as easy to cook as it is to enjoy.
Glass noodles
Glass noodles need to be transparent, smooth and have an elastic texture. Mung beans traditionally deliver these properties, but their supply is at best irregular. Selectamyl®, Avebe’s specially developed potato starch for glass noodles, replicates all three properties and has a reliable supply chain, making it a cost-effective alternative to mung bean starch.
Long-life and frozen noodles
The Farinex® range of modified potato starches maintains noodle quality and freshness through prolonged storage and freeze-thaw cycles. Long-life noodles benefit from low retrogradation tendency; frozen noodles gain full freeze-thaw stability. Both types get improved elasticity, smooth textures, light colouring and shorter boiling times.
Dumpling filling
Eliane®’s unique thermo-reversible gelling property transforms dumpling filling from a semi-solid — easy to wrap during production — to a creamy, juicy liquid when heated. Save costs, reduce fat and deliver the authentic dumpling experience, including in plant-based formats.
