PuraMYL®

Clean-label potato starch with excellent water binding, texture and clarity

PuraMYL® bridges the gap between clean-label requirements and the functional performance that food manufacturers need in soups, sauces like dressings, meat and plant-based meat products and processed cheese. Available as cook-up and instant grades, it delivers excellent water binding, high viscosity, good clarity and robust stability under heat and shear. All these properties come with a clean, E-number free, non-GMO ingredient declaration. PuraMYL® provides a straightforward route to clean-label formulations while delivering the functional performance typically associated with modified starches.

Sauces and dressings

Shine, stability and syneresis control

PuraMYL® delivers shine and prevents syneresis in standard sauces, and controls oil separation and emulsion stability in acidic dressings. PuraMYL® 700 — currently under development — extends performance to powdered gravies and cheese sauces under strong heat treatment, with smooth, shiny texture after freezing and reheating.

Meat products

Juiciness, bite and coating performance

Selected PuraMYL® solutions provide firm bite, help prevent syneresis and support water retention in whole-muscle meat products. Across processed meats, batter and coating systems, the PuraMYL® range helps deliver juiciness, stability, coating adhesion, crispness and reduced oil uptake.

Processed cheese

Sliceability and stretch without modified starch

Selected PuraMYL® solutions deliver the sliceability and stretch that processed cheese formats demand, without the E-number declaration that modified starches require. A clean-label route to the texture performance your customers expect.
