Sealed for the future: PerfectaCOL® in biodegradable paper-based packaging
Packaging producers looking to replace plastic sachets face a familiar dilemma: paper is more sustainable, but it still needs to seal securely and protect the product inside. A chocolate manufacturer using plastic, heat-pressure sealable sachets wanted to move to 100% biodegradable paper-based packaging, but needed an alternative that could combine reliable sealing with oil-and-grease resistance.
Dry food packaging
PerfectaCOL® is the natural choice for flexible paper packaging of dry foods like coffee, cereals and snacks. Our potato starch-based solution provides heat-pressure sealability and oil-and-grease resistance without adding PFAS or other synthetic additives.
Biodegradable packaging tape
PerfectaCOL® is a patented starch-based adhesive with dual bonding principle: gelling followed by drying. Repulpable, recyclable, biodegradable and food-grade, it’s applicable as a liquid adhesive, water-remoistenable film or heat-pressure sealable film for (food) packaging and tamper-proof tapes.
